why Busy Moms and Dads...

This is Nysha, Owner of Ardenwoods Edibles Organic Nursery. I understand busy Moms because I am a Busy Mom. In addition to being Chief, Cook and Bottle Washer of my Family and two Business(s). I can completely relate with the terror of starting a new project and not being able to keep up with the task of taking care of it. I know what it means to have a zillion balls in the air--Work, Graduate School, Baby, Preschool and Family concerns and wishing for fresh produce to just appear in my garden. I started AWE because I becamed concerned with where my families food was coming from. Having been a automimmune sufferer (and survivor) for 20 plus years with Crohn's Disease I dove in head first when I made the connection between Nutrition and Health. I became part of the "food movement" in my City after reading Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan and Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. It became a goal of mine to help other Families grow beautiful, nutritious backyard edible gardens. This passion has actually spurred me to begin a Graduate Program in Holistic Nutrition. I am so honored to run this business. Each time I get a set of "harvest" photos or a new client excited to learn about nutrition and gardening we become one step closer to a healthy planet!

We are open by appointment 6 days a week. No excuses. We also assist Landscape Professionals and Chefs on a wholesale basis. We still carry Franchi Sementi and Emanuele La Rosa Seeds from Italy! Check our edible list for the Franchi seeds or just call the nursery! All the Spring and Summer Favorites are pretty much covered! We can mail them anywhere in the U.S. Seeds are $3.50 per packet and are very generous in the amount of seed! Our friends in Winnekta import directly. Seed is fresh and well sealed to preserve and ensure awesome germination rates.
